Hydrogen Peroxide Nebulization

When I got sick with "Covid" at the end of April 2021, I nebulized with this formula and it didn't enter into my lungs. You can find the pictures at his website.

Hydrogen Peroxide nebulization has been reported to be helpful preventing and

treating respiratory viral infections. Many people have been asking about how to use

hydrogen peroxide nebulization when coming down with a respiratory virus infection.

Several authors and natural medicine doctors have written articles on the benefits of

hydrogen peroxide nebulization, some of which are referenced on this page.

This information is for education purposes only, and is not medical advice or

recommending any treatment. You should discuss any potential treatments

with your health care professional.

Dr. Shallenberger, author of Second Opinion newsletter, discusses natural therapies

for many conditions and ways to prevent illnesses. He wrote an article March 9, 2020 titled:

This At-Home Treatment Can Knock Out Any Virus–Including the Coronavirus. It

described hydrogen peroxide nebulization.

Nebulization has been used to deliver medicines for many years for people with respiratory

problems including asthma. Dr. Shallenberger discovered that nebulized medicines can have

systemic effects and used hydrogen peroxide for a respiratory infection for his wife and

others with excellent results. He has treated many people with good success fighting viral

infections.

3/9

Dr. Shallenberger’s article notes: “the treatments are simple. Just attach delivery mask to the

nebulizer output (see the devices instructions for specifics). Then add 3 cc of the hydrogen

peroxide and saline mixture to the nebulizer. Place the mask over your mouth and nose and

breathe normally until the solution is gone. It’s as simple as that.” One treatment usually

takes 10-15 minutes.

When first coming down with a virus infection, that tickle in the back of your throat or

sniffles, he recommends nebulizing dilute “hydrogen peroxide hourly the first day and then

4-6 times a day until the infection is completely resolved. In most cases if you start the

treatment early enough, before it has gotten a strong hold this will be in 2-4 days.” The goal

is to stop the virus before it gets deep in the lungs where it causes severe

inflammation and can progress to serious illness.

He also found those treatments to be useful for non-viral illnesses such as asthma in patients

with chronic lung disease. He recommends less frequent treatments for chronic conditions.

In his article he recommends having your doctor mix up hydrogen peroxide, but in a previous

article he explains how you can do it yourself safely by using 3% food grade hydrogen

peroxide available at health food stores such as Whole Foods or online (see links below).

DIRECTIONS:

1. To make the nebulizing mixture dilute 5 mL of 3% hydrogen peroxide in 100 mL saline

<OR> 1 ounce of 3% hydrogen peroxide to about 16 ounces of saline.

2. Use 3 cc of the diluted mixture for each nebulization treatment.

3. Place the mask over your mouth and nose and breathe normally until the solution is

gone, which is usually 10-15 minutes.

4. Repeat the 3 cc nebulization treatment hourly the first day, and 4-6 times a day until

the infection is resolved.

You can do this in conjunction with any recommendations your health care

practitioner recommends.

Some authors suggest stronger solutions for better antiviral effect up to 0.5% which would be

about 15 cc of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the 100 mL of saline. If there is any burning

sensation, back off to the more dilute solution.

If no saline is available distilled water can also be used to dilute the hydrogen peroxide. If

food grade hydrogen peroxide is not available standard hydrogen peroxide that you can get at

the drugstore could be used and then diluted as above, but is not as pure.

He believes that that having a nebulizer and hydrogen peroxide treatment at home would be

the end of your family ever having to miss work or school because of a viral illness. It has

worked in his practice.

It would be best to have these supplies on hand and ready to use at the first sign of a viral

infection whether it be a cold, flu, or other respiratory viral infection. The sooner treatment

is begun the less likely it will progress to more serious infection and illness.

Zinc Ionophores: Optimism for the Immune System

Vladimir Zelenko, M.D.

June 3, 2021

Summary

Zinc Ionophores have broad spectrum antiviral properties against RNA viruses such as COVID-19.  The emerging scientific data from peer reviewed journals and clinical trials show that zinc ionophores, including Quercetin, may have significant effects against COVID-19.  Zinc ionophores transport extracellular Zinc (Zn2+) ions across a cell membrane, and have been studied for their antiviral and anti-cancer activities.  Studies show Quercetin is a natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound contained in abundance fruits and vegetables - it can be purchased over the counter in supplement form.  Optimizations to Quercetin as a supplement can likely provide an even stronger effect against COVID-19 by including Zinc, Vitamin C and Vitamin D.  This paper outlines the scientific research that provides the justification for bringing these four (4) molecules together in one capsule to optimize the immune system to fight COVID-19.

  1. Quercetin (Zinc Ionophore)

  2. Zinc

  3. Vitamin C

  4. Vitamin D

Recent data, from peer reviewed studies, scientific data and clinical trials show that synergistic supplement combinations involving zinc and the zinc ionophore quercetin may be effective antiviral prevention and therapeutic agents against COVID-19.  An ionophore transports molecules inside cell membranes.  COVID-19 viral entry and replication in cells is inhibited by zinc - significantly reducing COVID-19 infection and mortality.  Generally, the more zinc that can be brought into respiratory cells, the better off a COVID-19 patient will be.

Quercetin

Quercetin, a natural anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory compound contained in abundance in various fruits and vegetables, is a zinc ionophore.  Zinc ionophores help transport zinc inside the cells COVID-19 attacks - respiratory cells, providing significant antiviral action against COVID-19.  Additionally, Quercetin has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of coronaviruses by inhibiting cellular entry as well as inhibiting proinflammatory cytokines.  One of the hallmarks of COVID-19 is an imbalanced immune response cascading to cytokine storms and then hyper inflammation which then can lead to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).

Quercetin has been shown to inhibit proinflammatory cytokine production as well as inflammation due to its antioxidant properties, amongst others.  By inhibiting destructive inflammation and potentially the entire cascade, quercetin may prevent severe damage to the respiratory system amongst other organs.

Specifically with respect to respiratory infections:

  • A randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial suggested Quercetin significantly lowered upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) severity (36% reduction, P = 0.020) and URTI total sick days (31% reduction, P = 0.048) in individuals (>40 years) compared with placebo.

  • With respect to influenza, an RNA respiratory virus like COVID-19, treatment with quercetin produced significant increases in the pulmonary concentrations of various antioxidants and a protective effect on lung morphology and a significant decrease in the number of infiltrating cells.

Recent clinical trial data shows that the combination of Vitamin C and Quercetin provided strong preventative protection against COVID-19 infection of healthcare workers when compared to the control group as shown below. Specifically, 1.4% (1 out of 71 healthcare workers) of healthcare workers using Quercetin and Vitamin C combination were infected with COVID-19 vs. 21.4% (9 out of 42 healthcare workers)  of healthcare workers in the control group were infected with COVID-19 (Total Subjects, n = 113).

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant, likely immune system optimizer and has been shown to work synergistically with quercetin, likely increasing quercetin’s bioavailability.  As per Integrative Medicine’s 4th edition, quercetin is a poorly absorbed nutrient but Vitamin C increases the absorption of quercetin and recommends that Quercetin should be blended with Vitamin C.  Specifically, there is evidence that vitamin C and quercetin co-administration exerts a synergistic antiviral action due to overlapping antiviral and immunomodulatory properties and the capacity of ascorbate to recycle quercetin, increasing its efficacy. It has been shown that Quercetin and Vitamin C markedly inhibited mRNA expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines - as the release of inflammatory cytokines are behind acute respiratory distress syndrome.  The quercetin and vitamin C combination can prevent the exacerbation of inflammation.

Zinc is a well known supplement that is generally contained in standard multivitamins.  It provides immune support amongst other functions.  Zinc inhibits coronavirus replication and is a general stimulant of antiviral immunity.  Higher levels of intracellular zinc showed to increase intracellular pH; which affect on RNA-dependent RNA polymerase and decreases the replication mechanism of RNA viruses (e.g. COVID-19). Therefore, zinc ionophores (e.g. Quercetin) can likely be used with zinc supplement to act as antiviral against many RNA viruses including influenza and COVID-19.  Suggested benefits of zinc supplementation along with zinc ionophores to prevent and treat COVID-19 and other respiratory tract infections are supported by countless studies. In most cases, prophylactic and early use of zinc supplementation was more effective than late therapeutic proceedings. Up to 30% of the everyday respiratory infections, briefly named “common cold,” are due to infections with coronaviruses.  Studies showed reduced symptom severity, reduced frequency, and duration of the common cold after zinc administration depending on dosage, zinc compound and the start time after initial symptoms.

Zinc deficiency is very common especially in the elderly, diabetics, cancer patients, asthma, immunosuppressed and obese - all of which have higher levels of mortality for COVID-19.   Furthermore, zinc deficiency is associated with increased risk of infectious disease, pneumonia and severity of COVID-19.  Conversely, zinc supplementation is associated with a significant decrease in COVID-19 mortality as long as it is delivered with a zinc ionophore.

In short, a balanced zinc homeostasis is essential.  Zinc supplementation improves the mucociliary clearance, strengthens the integrity of the epithelium, decreases viral replication, preserves antiviral immunity, attenuates the risk of hyper-inflammation, supports anti-oxidative effects and thus reduces lung damage and minimizes secondary infections.  Especially older subjects, patients with chronic diseases and most of the remaining COVID-19 risk groups would most likely benefit.

Vitamin D-3

Vitamin D is essential to a healthy immune system as it initiates the adaptive immune response.  Clinical trial data shows that Vitamin D supplementation is safe and protects against acute respiratory tract infection mortality whereas low levels of vitamin D are associated with higher risk for infection and mortality.  In addition, a meta-analysis of COVID-19 studies shows that over 90% of studies report positive effects of Vitamin D against COVID-19.

Vitamin D promotes the expression of a protein called cathelicidin which is crucial to antiviral immunity via the induction of cathelicidin and defensins, which can block viral entry into cells as well as suppress viral replication.  Additionally, Vitamin D via cathelicidin promotes antimicrobial function as well as other functions including the stimulation of T cells into the site of infection which inhibit the proinflammatory processes, and promotion of the clearance of respiratory pathogens by inducing apoptosis and autophagy of infected epithelial cells. In addition vitamin D promotes the killing of pneumococcus by stimulating neutrophils via a range of mechanisms.  Over the last 10 years, vitamin D deficiency has also been linked to a wide range of common infectious diseases, such as pneumonia, influenza, amongst others.

The link between vitamin D and viral infections arose from the observation of the seasonality of vitamin D with lower levels in the winter and concomitant increases in influenza. Conversely, in summer, serum levels of Vitamin D increase and influenza virtually disappears, except during pandemics. Even in pandemics, most deaths occur during cold months.

The Zelenko Protocol

Since March 2020, my team has successfully treated over 3,000 patients with Covid-19 with the Zelenko Protocol.  Our high-risk patient survival rate was >99.3% (0.7% mortality) which represents a radical improvement when compared to national data of high-risk patients with a survival rate of 92.5% (7.5% mortality).  My team has successfully prophylaxed (prevention) a similar number of patients against COVID-19 with the Zelenko Protocol, with a patient survival rate of 100%.  I have provided counsel to governments, physicians and hospital networks regarding prophylaxis and prehospital care of Covid-19 and I am fully familiar with their results.

Based on this real world experience, peer reviewed literature and clinical trial data, this supplement combination has significantly improved patient outcomes and should be considered as part of the armamentaria against Covid-19.

As part of the Zelenko Protocol for COVID-19, I recommend the following for the prophylaxis of low and moderate risk patients:

  • Elemental Zinc 25mg 1 time a day

  • Vitamin D 5000iu 1 time a day

  • Vitamin C 800mg 1 time a day

  • Quercetin 500mg 1 time a day

Treatment of low risk patients:

  • Elemental Zinc 50mg 1 time a day for 7 days

  • Quercetin 500mg 2-3 times a day for 7 days

  • Vitamin C 800mg 1 time a day for 7 days

  • Vitamin D3 5000iu 1 time a day for 7 days

Gluten Damages Brain

We talk about the damage that gluten does to the intestines. We need to talk about the damage it does to our brain. Here are two interesting articles from Green Med Info.
http://us1.campaign-archive2.com/?u=7f494613c5ad4db1b93e647ad&id=65b8aa76b2&e=57fadcc735

It is easy to get complacent about the processed food and even the wheat that is available for consumption. We think they (regulators of food, government etc...) would never allow food out that could damage us. Well think again.

Grain free, dairy free and sugar free will go a long way to keeping us healthy and our brains sharp.

Why Your Gut Isn't Working Properly

The gut is our second brain. So not only do we have digestion problems, we have brain fog and a whole host of other brain problems like depression and eventually Alzheimers etc...
It seems nearly everyone has digestive issues these days. Crohn’s, IBS, colitis, celiac, and dozens of other digestive disorders have made an industry out of sugar free, gluten free, and dairy free products. So why is it that those with digestive issues can’t often fully fix them and have to follow a very strict diet or suffer the painful consequences?

GUT FLORA IMBALANCE

Unfortunately, a lifetime of habits littered with antibiotics, sugar, alcohol, toxins, and ‘dead’ food has destroyed the proper balance we require for good digestion.

In your effort to regain proper gut flora balance, consider antibacterial foods and herbs like garlic, onions, oregano, cloves, and black walnut. At the same time consider probiotic rich foods like green leafy vegetables and fermented foods such as sauerkraut, tempeh, and kefir.
 ENZYME DEFICIENCY
Enzymes play a key role in our health by enabling our bodies to properly digest and use all the nutrients we take in to their greatest potential. If we do not introduce enough enzymes through our food, we put more pressure on the pancreas to produce enzymes in order to break down waste products, which eventually can leave it overworked and unable to produce the enzymes required to facilitate proper digestion.
To maximize your enzyme production, first increase your consumption of raw, organic food like papaya, pineapples, bee pollen, kefir, and fermented vegetables. Chew your food thoroughly to properly mix them with your enzyme rich saliva, which helps the process of pre-digestion.
Juicing is one way to really increase the amount of easily assimilated enzymes into your digestive system, as well as digestive and systemic enzyme supplements.
 MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY
Previously, it was believed that magnesium was required for up to 325 enzymatic processes, but according to new research, that number is closer to 800. This makes magnesium very important in the digestive process.
Magnesium is also heavily implicated in proper functioning of muscles, including those in the lining of your digestive tract. A deficiency in magnesium causes the peristaltic action in your digestive system to slow right down, which hinders the movement of waste, and backs up the digestive process.
Consider liquid magnesium supplements, and loading up on salads rich in leafy greens and vegetables.
 STRESS
Stress creates all sorts of problems for your digestive system. It strips your body of various vitamins and minerals (B vitamins and magnesium to name a couple), tightens your muscles, slows down bowel movements, and inhibits absorption of enzymes and probiotics, as well as other nutrients.
Keep your stress in check through chamomile, medicinal mushrooms, kefir, and acts of gratitude, meditation, and exercise.
 HEAVY METAL TOXICITY
There are many types of toxins that can cause digestive distress, however, one of the most gut compromising toxins falls in the heavy metals category.
Heavy metals are introduced into our bodies in a variety of ways, but some of the more problematic gateways are through vaccinations and mercury amalgams. Not only does this create a great burden for proper liver, gallbladder, and pancreas function (including secreting bile to facilitate digestion), but heavy metals also kill off good bacteria to further impair the digestive process.
Heavy metal detoxification is a delicate process and should be handled by a professional, but you can consider chlorella and cilantro to help bind and remove them from your system.

Cure Tooth Decay

The book, Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nagel, outlines a diet that will remineralize your teeth and stop new cavities from forming. It is based on research by Weston Price using bone broths, fermented grains, and raw milk products to stop the bad stuff from harming your teeth and encourage the good stuff to rebuild them. The key take away is that in order to cure tooth decay and remineralize your teeth, they need to have direct contact with the building blocks that teeth are made of – calcium, phosphorous, and some trace minerals. Your teeth also need less contact with the things in the oral environment that inhibit the rebuilding process.

The bad stuff:
The oral environment that prevents cavities from healing and destroys dental enamel
Uncontrolled blood sugar spikes
Sugary food and drink
Commercial toothpastes – the glycerin and fluoride inhibit the remineralization of tooth enamel
Artificial sweeteners – increase blood sugar, acidify the mouth
Fluoridated water – binds to tooth enamel making it weak and preventing mineralization with calcium and phosphorous.
Unfermented grains – inhibit the absorption of minerals due to anti-nutrients
Bacteria that forms biofilms in the mouth preventing the remineralization of tooth enamel and destroying tooth enamel
Acidic oral environment – eats away at tooth enamel causing cavities
Dental drilling that destroys tooth enamel and prevents the remineralisation of teeth.
Glycerine, found in commercial toothpaste coats teeth and prevents the remineralisation of tooth enamel
 The good stuff:
Oral environment that strengthens tooth enamel and remineralizes cavities is rich in calcium — calcium and phosphorous are the building blocks that your teeth need to rebuild.  You have to supply them.
Maintains neutral pH, not overly acidic.  The toothpowder is alkaline and should act as a pH buffer — so brush at least twice a day.
Is free of bad-bacterial biofilms – has a predominance of good bacteria in the microbiome – lactic acid bacteria is one of the good guys that helps keep the bad guys in check.  You’ll need to brush your tongue when you brush your teeth, and floss at least once a day to get rid of the biofilms.  Bacterial biofilms will prevent the minerals from adhering to your teeth.
Is without dental treatments that destroy tooth enamel and oral integrity such as dental fillings and root canals.  Once the dentist has drilled your teeth and removed the enamel, that tooth is compromised.  Root canals remove the nerve and blood supply from a tooth which allows bacteria to proliferate in the dead tissue.  Ideally, avoid both if you can, by catching potential problems before they require emergency management.
Diet high in fruits and vegetables and calcium rich bone broths, low in sugar, processed foods, and fermented grains will both rebuild tooth enamel and rebuild your overall health and wellness.  There is a connection between the health of your teeth and the overall health of your body.

How to cure tooth decay
You can cure tooth decay. Healing your cavities involves not just tooth brushing and oral hygiene but also a change in lifestyle and diet. You can’t just change from commercial toothpaste and keep eating crap and expect to rebuild your tooth enamel and heal your cavities. Your body deserves better.

DiY Tooth Powder Recipe that:
  • Whitens teeth
  • Freshens breath
  • Remineralizes tooth enamel
  • Repairs cavities
  • Antibacterial
  • Pain relieving
  • Prevents cavities by strengthening tooth enamel, removing bacteria, and changing pH

Cure tooth decay with remineralizing tooth powder for sensitive teeth
DiY Remineralizing Toothpaste  (makes 1 cup with no fillers)
Ingredients:
1/2 cup baking soda
1/4 cup Himalayan salt, whirled in your spice grinder until a fine powder
1 tsp. peppermint essential oil
10 drops myrrh essential oil
10 drops clove essential oil
Divide this between 2 – 125ml (1/2 cup) glass jars.  Keep tightly capped when not in use.
 Directions:
This tooth powder has no fillers.  Every part is essential.  Initially buying the ingredients may seem expensive, but it will give you many months of tooth powder for your efforts.
Mix calcium, clay, baking soda, and Himalayan salt in glass bowl. Whisk it to blend it thoroughly. Add peppermint eo, myrrh eo, and clove eo. Divide between two ½ cup jelly jars. Cap tightly.
How to use this remineralizing tooth powder to cure tooth decay:
To use: Moisten toothbrush under the tap. Use plain, unfluoridated water. If your water is fluoridated it’s better to use filtered water to brush your teeth. Fluoride will bind to your teeth preventing remineralization with calcium. Floride is also harmful to the thyroid, filling the iodine receptors, and inhibiting iodine uptake.
Stick your moistened toothbrush in the jar and take up some of the tooth powder on the brush.
Brush teeth as normal. If you are remineralizing your teeth in order to cure tooth decay, hold the goop in your mouth for 60 seconds while you do something else. This allows your tooth enamel to be in contact with the remineralizing calcium and clay. Spit. Do not swallow. The spit will be grey. That’s the clay removing toxins from your mouth. It’s normal. Rinse your mouth with clear water.
Brush at least twice a day. Floss once a day.
Turn this into remineralizing toothpaste:
If your family is used to toothpaste and would find it easier to use a paste rather than a powder, simply add ½ cup to ¾ cup of coconut oil to the above recipe. It will remain soft and paste like if your ambient temperature is between 60 and 70 degrees F. Organic virgin coconut oil is known to prevent cavities.

What does each ingredient in the recipe do?
Calcium carbonate – remineralizes teeth with calcium, replaces toxic fluroride that weakens teeth
Bentonite clay –whitens teeth, antibacterial, offers trace minerals, and absorbs toxins that inhibit oral health
Baking soda – whitens teeth, antibacterial, mildly abrasive, changes the pH to make the mouth less acidic
Himalayan salt, trace minerals,
Peppermint eo – freshens breath, antibacterial, refreshing, stimulating, carminative
Myrrh eo – freshens breath, antibacterial especially good for oral health, healing to gums and tongue,
Clove eo – pain relieving, antibacterial, numbing, helps if you have sensitive teeth

I have been using Earthpaste for the past couple of years. I have also added in more vitamin C such as lyposomal from Livon. Not eating gluten, sugar or pasteurized dairy I believe has contributed to better gums for sure. My hygienist actually asked me what I was doing because I had no bleeding when she was cleaning my teeth. Just wish I had known all this many years ago.
